Methodology

FindMySalary benchmarks are based on authoritative U.S. occupational wage data from official government surveys — primarily the Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics (OEWS) program. We do not use AI-generated salary estimates or unverified self-reported figures.

What each benchmark shows

• Median salary — the middle of the pay distribution: half of workers earn more, half earn less.
• Typical range — the 25th to 75th percentile, where the middle half of workers fall.
• Location adjustment — wages vary widely by state and metro area, so benchmarks are scoped to where you work.

Current status

The wage database is being connected now. Until it is live, the calculator displays clearly-labeled demo values. This page will be updated with full sourcing and update-frequency details at launch.
